As a designer specializing in custom postpartum shapewear at Brabic, I always pay attention to the needs and feedback of my customers, striving to design products that meet their needs. Recently, I received a letter from a customer named Emily Evans through our Brabic community. She's a new mom, complaining about the discomfort caused by the changes in her postpartum body and is looking for postpartum shapewear that can provide comfort and mild compression without feeling uncomfortable. Especially, as she had a cesarean section, she needs a waist cincher to help her stabilize her wound, aid in healing, and provide gentle support to her waist, not too tight or too loose.
I discussed with my team, thoroughly analyzed her needs, and began designing postpartum shapewear that meets her requirements.
During the design process, we chose breathable and comfortable materials to help correct posture. It also helps prevent the abdomen from rolling up when sitting or moving, ensuring comfort and breathability, and easy cleaning. It helps reduce swelling, supports core abdominal muscles, and helps the uterus return to its original size faster. It also helps you look slimmer immediately, increases confidence, and helps you feel better after childbirth. The adjustable design is perfect for moms, with equal tension on both sides, providing support to the waist for a long time. For women who have just given birth or anyone experiencing loose skin and back pain due to surgery, steel bones are also built-in, considering the need for support for the lower back and posture during breastfeeding. It can also help relieve uterine transitions and shrink it to normal size, relieving back pain.
After careful design and production, we sent a sample of postpartum shapewear to Emily Evans. She contacted me through Messenger after receiving it, sharing her fitting experience. She was very satisfied with the comfort and mild support effect of the shapewear, which also relieved her postpartum anxiety and promoted her recovery.
Through collaboration with Emily Evans, I deeply understand the responsibility and mission of a designer. Our work is not only to design practical products but also to provide customers with a comfortable, confident, and beautiful user experience. This collaboration has strengthened my design philosophy and beliefs, inspiring me to continuously pursue innovation and perfection in design.
